ST. MARY MAGDALENE HERMITAGE
It is one of the most significant and recognisable elements of Besullo, due to the place where it stands.

Raised on a steep cliff, called El Castiel.lo ('the castle'), at the foot of which are the remains of an ancient fort, identified but not excavated, the hermitage of La Magdalena is the perfect place to obtain privileged views of Besullo and the valleys that surround it, as well as to get some magnificent photographs.
THE CLIMB TO THE HERMITAGE OF LA MADALENA STARTS FROM THE CN-1 ROAD, RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE VISITOR RECEPTION CENTRE. IT IS A PAVED ROAD UP TO THE LAST HOUSE IN THE VILLAGE. FROM THERE, THERE IS A NOTABLE CLIMB OF ABOUT 10-15 MINUTES ALONG A PATH ACROSS THE MOUNTAIN UNTIL YOU REACH THE ROCK HEAD ON WHICH THE HERMITAGE STANDS.
